Internship-based Projects

TSMC E-Learning Slideshow

This was the first project that I did, where I created a slideshow based on a theme that the client proposed. They asked for a minimalistic theme that resembles Apple's website. This project allowed me to expose myself to the usage of Shutterstock, where I can browse through and find images and vector icons that complements one another. This gave me an experience on how it is generally like to work on projects with clients of other companies rather than to stay in my bubble and continuously do individual projects on my own.

Govtech E-Learning Slideshow

This Govtech project is similar to the one above, but I had to communicate with colleagues of different departments and seek their feedback on my design since constructive feedback is something that I appreciate to receive from others, allowing me to give good quality work and satisfy the client. The design elements were again taken from Shutterstock and tweaked slightly using Adobe Illustrator so that it is relevant to the content of the slideshow. From this experience, I understood how crucial effective communication and clarity is in terms of getting a clear idea of the roles taken by those of other departments so that I can effectively communicate with them in layman terms in case they do not understand my intentions for my design.

Maritime and Port Authority Design Request

The MPA project is different as compared to the other two projects above since this is more of a design request where I, as a graphic designer, will create assets and generate relevant images using various AI tools such as ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, and Google AI based on the requests that have been made for each individual slide. I adjusted the avatar design and created the icons and roadmap manually using Adobe Illustrator, while redesigning the entire layout to maintain consistency in the overall them for this slideshow. This allowed me to make full use of AI tools to assist me in my work and allowed me to gain hard skills in terms of familiarising myself with advanced and modern technology.

National Kidney Foundation Mother's Day 2026

I was taking over this project to assist my art director, mainly making minor adjustments according to the client's feedback, this allowed me to understand the importance of file management as I need to create various working files according to every updated version (V1,V2,V3 etc). Moreover I had to create an additional page for the design, featuring the chinese content for those who mainly understands chinese. This allowed me to understand how important and detailed I have to be when creating layouts, while using forced line breaks to prevent unnecessary indent of words.

Assistance of Agency for Integrated Care (AIC)

I assisted my colleague with this project by creating assets such as various icons, character designs and diagrams that matches the slideshow's colour palette. I mainly used Shutterstock for the background and icons as well. I also assisted with the arrangement of assets to make it look more 3D since the client's feedback mentioned on how the main design looks too flat and 2D. Using my colleague's advice and feedback, I was able to give the design more depth. Although this project was difficult for me, I learned to adapt and create designs based on my colleague's given reference and guidance.  I did not give up and managed to finish my part of the project within the given dateline as well.
